New Visuality
‘ACCESSIBILITY & CREATIVITY’
£5Details
York charity New Visuality is set to bring newly designed innovative artworks to citywide locations this month.
‘Accessibility & Creativity’, funded by Arts Council England’s National Lottery Project Grants, has seen a collaboration between learners at Blueberry Academy, Acomb Explore and Tang Hall Explore, and young artists from New Visuality’s Art Camp sessions. “It’s been a fulfilling and far reaching creative eco-system,” says charity director Greg McGee, “Blueberry Academy provided the creative spark that kickstarted the designs and we took it from there.”
Blueberry Academy, formed in 2007 by Andy Bucklee and Andrew Cambridge, provides specialist support for young people and adults with learning differences, autism, social, emotional and mental health needs and/or other disabilities, with employability and independence as educational priorities. New Visuality, directed by artist husband and wife team Ails and Greg McGee, have collaborated on visual arts projects since the beginning.
