Greg McGee sits down with York Creatives' Ben Porter
By Greg McGee
"Every day I get out of bed, I run an art gallery. That's not a job. I don't clock in or clock off, I've got this gallery to maintain and it's a blessing and an honour."
Recently gallerist Greg McGee enjoyed a sit down with York Creatives director Ben Porter.
Over wine (Malbec) in a Spark: York container, they talk Russian language, Music, Painting, Eggs, and, naturally, Tintin.
Regarding living culture in York as opposed to Heritage:
"One doesn't need to subordinate the other, you can straddle both worlds and I do really think that's York's great raison d'être , that's it's USP, that it can hit you with heritage and with the future at the same time."
