A colourful celebration of Holgate created as part of our New Voice Project.

We used AI to augment young people’s original artwork and reimagine Holgate through a new illustrated map. Familiar local features including West Bank Park, The Fox pub, Holgate Road, Acomb Road, Poppy Road and the railway sit alongside homes, green spaces, trees and wildlife. The technology helped extend rather than replace the young people’s ideas, turning familiar places into a creative picture of their local community.
New Voice Project gives young artists the opportunity to create, curate and share their work, turning their ideas into a collection of beautiful, useful objects.
